Ancient Castle 3D Screensaver 1.1 build 9

If you are passionate about ancient castles, the 3PlaneSoft-developed application Ancient Castle 3D Screensaver may be worth a look at. This screensaver takes you through a virtual trip through a computer-generated castle that sits on top of a hill, right next to the ocean. The camera moves around so that you can see the castle from different angles and it even takes you inside the castle.

While the camera moves about, you hear music and sounds in the background. If you find this distracting, you can turn off the music in one of two ways. The easiest way is to simply press the M key on the keyboard – this will mute everything. Alternatively you can go to the Settings window and disable sounds/music altogether.

From the same Settings window you can select between animated or stationary cameras (or both), adjust the volume, play with the time variation speed, and select the time of day the screensaver displays.

Installation – at the time of writing this, support is provided for Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit editions). During the installation process you can choose between these languages: English, German, French and Russian.

During the installation process you are asked to install the 3Planesoft Screensaver Manager. This manager provides information about your currently installed 3PlaneSoft screensaver and about other screensaver 3PlaneSoft has to offer. The manager allows you to access the settings of all the 3PlaneSoft screensavers installed on your system. It also comes with a feature to automatically change the screensaver after a specific amount of time, or to display a different screensaver each time the computer goes idle. This manager is quite useful if you have more than one 3PlaneSoft screensaver.

Limitations – a nag screen will appear after 90 seconds when using the trial version. To get rid of this nag screen you have to purchase a license.
